Blue Star Fathers

Mission

The mission of Blue Star Fathers is to provide support and encouragement to fathers and father figures of military children throughout their journey in the United States Armed Forces.

History

Blue Star Fathers was conceived in the spring of 2022 by a group of fathers who wished to have a more direct and impactful involvement with their sons and daughters serving in the military. The organization became official in the summer of 2023 when it was registered with the State of Indiana.

The reason for the creation of the organization was due to the fact that fathers also have a vital role to play in their children’s lives and felt that other organizations didn’t offer enough freedom and support. Not only that, but other organizations regulated them to associate members with no voice or voting rights.

Then there were issues of blended families and father figures. Today’s modern families and role models come in all shapes and sizes. There was no place for these family members in other organizations. The organization does not put an age limit to when the father, father figure or step father has been in their child’s life.

Who Can Be a Member

We understand that there are all types of family units and styles. Blue Star Fathers is open to fathers, step fathers AND father figures of all walks of life. As long as you are directly involved with a service member, you are welcome.
