Narcan For Veterans

NarVet is a project of Bikersinc that distributes Naloxone to registered Veterans groups and organizations.

From 2010-2019 Veteran overdose mortality rates increased by 53.2%. As the US faces an increasing issue with Fentanyl, this issue also affects our military Veterans.

Bikersinc has started this project as a means to combat this issue with the distribution of Naloxone. We are registered with the Indiana Department of Health as an official distributor.

Even though this project is geared towards Veterans first and foremost, we will not turn down any groups or organizations in need of the life saving medication.

Narcan (naloxone) is an FDA approved nasal spray used to treat a known or suspected opioid overdose emergency, if there are signs of slowed breathing, severe sleepiness, the person is not able to respond (loss of consciousness). Narcan should be given as soon as possible, and the patient should also receive emergency medical care straight away, even if they wake up.

Narcan works by blocking the opioids effect, it does this as Narcan is an opioid antagonist that competes for the opiate receptors in the brain and other areas of the body to help reverse the dangerous effects of the opioid, so that the patient's breathing improves and they become more awake and their blood pressure normalizes.
